Behavioral Health

Half of all Americans will experience a mental or emotional illness during their lifetime. These issues can affect all aspects of our lives, with some people becoming so overwhelmed that they can no longer function. Signs and symptoms of behavioral health problems include:

  • Suicidal thoughts, especially if there is intent and plan to act upon those thoughts

  • Sleep or eating disturbances that do not resolve within a day or two

  • Inability to enjoy what one used to

  • A feeling that one just doesn't care anymore

  • Unwillingness to adhere to doctor medication recommendations

  • Severe mood swings that may impact quality of life

  • Hearing voices or having thoughts that are not in touch with reality

Most depression and other mental/emotional illnesses are treatable, especially if dealt with early. Mercy Health Behavioral Health is here to let you know that you don't have to deal with these symptoms alone.

For adults 18 years and over, we offer an Adult Inpatient Program and a Partial Hospitalization Program to help patients coping with behavioral health problems.

Our Adult Inpatient Program is designed to stabilize the crisis situation that led to the need for medical treatment in the first place. We provide a thorough evaluation, develop a multidisciplinary treatment plan and coordinate care in a supportive environment.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program provides outpatient therapy for those who are experiencing emotional and mental distress, but do not require inpatient care and who have an adequate support system outside the hospital setting.
