Grand Rapids, Mich., April 13, 2012 – Every year companies throughout West Michigan compete to be named "West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For," and in 2012, Saint Mary's Health Care, Advantage Health Physician Network (a member of Saint Mary's Health Care) and Mercy Health Partners, are three of the 101 companies to be named. Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach can be bestowed this honor. These select companies will be honored by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA) on Thursday, May 3 at the Pinnacle Center in the Grand Rapids area.
2012 marks Mercy Health Partners' sixth consecutive win as West Michigan's 101; Advantage Health's fourth consecutive win, and Saint Mary's ninth consecutive year to receive this designation.
An independent research firm evaluates each company's entry based on key measures in various categories. They include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance and the Best of the Best Small Business.
The winning 101 companies also vie for 11 elite awards, one granted for each category. Also, an overall winner that has excelled in all categories will be honored with a "Best of the Best Overall" award. The award winners will be announced during the luncheon. Saint Mary's Health Care has received three of these elite awards over the years, in Communications; Engagement and Retention; and Diversity and Inclusion.
