Diversity Scholarship Program
Mercy Health Partners Diversity Scholarship Program for Prospective Graduates
MHP (located in Muskegon, Michigan) is pleased to announce the Diversity Scholarship Program for students entering Nursing as a career. The program provides a maximum amount of $5,000 a year to qualified students for the final 1-2 years of graduation of an RN Degree. A service commitment is required after the probationary period is completed based on the scholarship awarded.
Per school calendar year, 1 Term/Quarter/Semester equals 6 months commitment. Per school calendar year, 2 Terms/Quarters/Semesters or greater equals 1-year commitment. A 1-year scholarship equals a 1-year commitment. A 2-year scholarship equals a 2-year commitment.
MHP will award two-year scholarships in Nursing
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Applicant ethnicity is Black/non-Hispanic, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander or Multiracial.
- Complete, sign, and submit the Scholarship Program Application and Personal Statement
- A GPA of 3.0 overall for the last two years (on a 4.0 scale) is preferred
- Provide official documentation regarding tuition payments for last year of school
- Provide a copy of your Award Letter from the school's financial aid department
- Provide recommendations from two Clinical Instructors
- Interview with, and be selected by the Scholarship Committee
- MHP reserves the right to award these scholarships at it's discretion
