Acquiring medical knowledge and skills is the major goal of the internship program at Mercy Health Muskegon. Our modern, diverse, yet practical, rotating internships help interns achieve this goal. We emphasis "hands on" training in order to graduate confident, qualified residency candidates.
The internship program at Mercy Health Muskegon has a solid reputation as a learning-directed experience. Interns have the ability to work one on one with the attending physician to gain knowledge and experience they will be able to use in the field of medicine. History and physicals are service related and the interns are encouraged to manage the patient while hospitalized.
There is a wealth of clinical material at Mercy Health Muskegon and attending physicians work with interns to provide insight and expertise. Throughout the program, interns become part of the medical staff and provide an important part of the health care delivered to this community.
Internships are available in:
- Ob/Gyn, track
- Family Practice, special emphasis
- Traditional rotating internship
