Why is the Mercy Heart Center the Best Place for Me?
If you are interested in taking an active role in improving your health, the Mercy Heart Center is the place to be. We work with individuals of all ages and with varying levels of need. In our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs, we work with adults of all ages and backgrounds who have developed heart and lung diseases. We take into account the factors that have led up to your illness, your current physical abilities, and your short and long-term goals. We develop plans of care for each and every person we see in order to work toward achieving these goals. The ultimate goal of these programs is to help you to return to a full and productive life. Education on diet, exercise, medications, and proper medical treatment has helped many, many people to take control of their health.
In addition, we work with those who want to prevent long-term health complications. The Mercy Heart Center is home to a variety of wellness programs that educate on maintaining a balanced diet, and incorporate a sound exercise program along with risk factor modification. Risk factors that can put an individual at high risk for heart disease and stroke include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, tobacco abuse, physical inactivity, diabetes, stress, and overweight or obesity. When you become involved in any of our wellness programs, your goals may be focused on losing weight, feeling better and healthier, and managing any risk factors you may have.
The Mercy Heart Center provides a positive, supportive atmosphere for you to improve your fitness and help achieve realistic goals, regardless of your reasons!
