Community Benefit

Sister Simone Courtade Grant Program

The Sister Simone Courtade Grant Program was created by the Sisters of Mercy to support, strengthen and sustain our organizational Mission in the community. The specific intent of the fund is to help poor and underserved residents achieve a better quality of life by improving their health and overall well-being through investment in community programs that address community health needs.

Grant applications will be considered in one of the following two areas:

  • Tier I: Programs that directly address community health needs as identified in Mercy Health Muskegon's Community Health Needs Assessment.
  • Tier II: Projects that closely align with Mercy Health Muskegon's mission and values but may not allow for clear health outcomes.

All applicants are required to submit a Letter of Intent by April 1, 2014 and attend one Pre-Application Education Session on either April 23, 2014 or April 24, 2014.

The 2014 application deadline is May 28, 2014. Awardees will be notified in August 2014.
