How to Volunteer

Volunteers Leave Their Footprints . . .

Welcome and thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer. At Mercy Health Muskegon, our "volunteers leave their footprints." Every day, hundreds of patients and loved ones, including family members and friends, are enriched by volunteers. The touch of a hand, a smiling face and a gentle voice are things long remembered after recovery.

If you are 16 years or older and want to become an active volunteer, we require at least two (four hour shifts) or more per month for a minimum of a 100-hour commitment. Our shifts are either mornings or afternoons Monday–Friday (8 a.m.–4 p.m.). You can make a big difference in someone else's life, as well as your own. Share your time and talent with others and feel good about giving back to the community.

You can choose from a variety of service areas (openings may vary):

  • Surgery Waiting
  • Courtesy Coach Driver
  • Clerical
  • Johnson Family Cancer Center
  • Clerical Courier
